The Silver Birch is one of our favourites. The distinctive pale trunk, graceful twigs and golden autumn foliage colours all adds to the appeal.
The younger trees have shiny copper-brown trunks that may take several years before forming the silvery-white bark with dark lines and cracks. The tree is topped off with a crown of arched branches and shapely drooping branchlets.
