The Chinese Pea Tree is native to central Asia and is also known as the Siberian Pea Tree. Once matured, it can endure strong winds and temperatures from freezing to very high.

The tree develops delicately symmetrical compound leaves that turn from green to yellow in autumn. Be careful as there are sharp spines that grow on the branches and individual twigs.
