Japanese Black Pines are considered a classic bonsai tree. They are native to, and are common in, Japan, and can grow upwards of 100 feet tall in ideal conditions. In its native land, the Japanese Black Pine is often used as an ornamental in parks and gardens.
The branches of this conical pine have a unique, horizontal growing pattern, resulting in a layered look. The needles are dark green, grow in pairs, and are long at three to five inches. One of the most attractive features of this bonsai is the greyish bark with irregular fissured plates, giving a textured age. The bark of older pines become scaly or flaky. They have the ability to grow in all different shapes in nature and can be shaped in almost every known Bonsai style, giving you the freedom to create your desired bonsai shape.

I was happy with what I got.
I soaked all 30 for 24hrs, I was a little impatient so I planted 6 right away and put the rest in the fridge as instructed. Well, with a heat mat set at 80°F, 12hrs of light from the LED strips and a propagation tray to hold in the moisture and heat, I’ve already had 4 out of 6 begin their journey. It’s taken 2 weeks to get to as shown in the pictures, I’ve used standard compost and watered well every evening. All in, I’m very happy with my purchase, highly recommend these to those looking to grow from seed and I very much will be buying some more shortly. I’m interested in how the seeds perform being in the fridge, I’ll update on if they go as well.
Great service. Here’s some seeds I started a few seasons ago so ordered more
