The Weeping Fig is native to India, Southeast Asia, Southwest Pacific and Northern Australia. It can reach 40 to 50 feet tall in nature. This tree has excellent Bonsai growing potential due to the easy maintenance and rapid growth.

This evergreen tree produces branches that tend to be drooping. The bark of the tree is very smooth and pale brown in color. In humid conditions and when the tree matures, it develops aerial roots, originating from the branches. These roots give character to the tree and form secondary trunks when they touch the ground. The Weeping Fig has arched branches, adorned with small dark green, pointed leaves and a leathery texture.

First nice packaging, shipping to the states was rather quick when I ordered back in September. I decided to leave a review now after starting these and 6 other types I got, 5 needed to break dormancy. Rather disappointed… Only 2 of the 30 seeds sprouted. One being small and half the size of the other sprout. It would normally be culled out being stunted, but I’m keeping it in hopes it will pull through, seeing as I only got 2 from 30 seeds… I tried contacting the shop back early December but still await a reply, but did see the shop is closed due to covid and am not sure when that happened.
